Brief Explanation for Absence

Some of you will have noticed that I’ve not been posting as much here in recent weeks as previously. There’s a reason for that.
I often start series of blog posts and then abandon them after a handful of posts, and I’m trying not to do that so much any more.

Over the last month, I’ve actually written something like seventy thousand words. Some of it you’ve seen here, like the Nilsson posts. Some other bits are for a novel, which will be out in a few months.

But other stuff has been for projects which will be blogged — some of them you know about, like the Prometheans posts or the Batposts (no, I’ve not given up on either of those), while others I’m not announcing yet.

In all cases, I’m waiting until I’ve got at least five posts in the bag before I start posting them here. So some of those projects will start to be revealed next month.

(Next month is also the deadline for my book on The Strange World of Gurney Slade, so having a backlog of posts I can put up here during that month is going to be useful).

So this means that March has been a bit light on posts from me. But it also means that when you see me start a series of blog posts here from now on, you’ll be able to have confidence that I won’t give up on them just as they’re getting interesting.

So thanks for bearing with me for the last month, and here’s to a much busier blogging month in April.
