In shock news today, April 1st, that is the first of April, it was announced that Nick Clegg or David Cameron or Ed Miliband or Nigel Farage or the other one or the other one or the other one (delete according to political preference) did something that was in some way connected to, or similar to, Tindr, Grindr, Uber, Game of Thrones, Katie Hopkins, Zayn Malik, Kim Kardashian, selfie sticks, or something else that’s been a Twitter trending topic recently.

The politician said something that seems like the kind of thing a caricature of that politician would say if placed in an amusing situation, and the celebrity/app/TV show/inanimate object responded in an amusing way highlighting their own ignorance or the inferiority of people who like that celebrity/app/TV show/inanimate object.

However, as it is April 1, this news item is meant to be taken as a joke, and in no way to be confused with all the news items you’ve already seen or will see over the next thirty-six days saying the exact same thing.
