Sick Linkblogging

I’m not a well boy at the moment — I’d had a throat infection for a few weeks, but over conference it turned into what seems to be pneumonia (and again, I cannot apologise enough if anyone else has caught this from me — I wasn’t *ANYTHING LIKE* this unwell before going, or I would not have considered in a million years going to conference). It seems to be responding to antibiotics, but I’ve also been sleeping for something like sixteen hours a day. That means very little time for blogging.

So while I wait for the ability to breathe, have some links:

Richard Herring spent International Women’s Day replying to idiots on Twitter who were asking “when’s International Men’s Day then?” by telling them it was November 19. All of them. It starts out funny, then gets tedious, then gets funnier, then more tedious, then even funnier… read the whole thing.

Lance Parkin on why Batman is like the Klan

The Bible in palindromes

Zoe O’Connell on the failures of the Cameron porn filters. Apparently the Girl Guides were blocked. Possible rape trigger warning for the discussion of one of the sites that wasn’t.

The Aporetic on why daylight saving is rubbish

And a blog collecting ebooks of public domain gothic, horror, and supernatural stories.

Cough.

Sorry to hear that you are not well- having lungs full of goo Is Very Bad, as I know only too well. Thankyouthankyouthankyou for the link to the Mystery and Imagination ebook site – I made probably inappropriate happy noises when I saw that.
Here’s hoping you feel better very soon.

Thanks. I’m already feeling a lot better, and my lungs are down almost to the normal level of goo for me. And glad to be of service…
