Just to let people know that the small adverts that seem to be appearing on this site at the moment are not of my doing – wordpress.com occasionally inserts advertising on blogs that use its hosting service, to help fund itself. I can choose to pay not to have them, but will only do so if anything offensive or inappropriate appears, or if anyone *seriously* objects.
I don’t see them myself – I use AdBlock Plus at work and NoScript at home – so if ads start appearing for arms manufacturers or Nestle or something, I’ll hope you’ll let me know. In the meantime, feel free to click them if you want to support wordpress – who offer a fantastic service and are worth supporting – but no advertising on this site will ever be added by me, or be for my direct financial benefit.
