Linkblogging for 20/05/09

A few links for you. Firstly, I’ve decided to create a permanent page where I try to answer people’s search queries, rather than subject everyone to posts about them. I’ll keep that regularly updated. I think my response to the person searching for ‘supergirl rape fantasies’ is pretty accurate…

The DCU blog has some stuff on the new Giffen/DeMatteis/Maguire Metal Men backups, showing Giffen’s breakdown sketches with Maguire’s finished art. Well worth a look if you’re into that sort of thing.

Costigan Quist explains why we shouldn’t support a snap general election.

Web design people might be very pleased to see this – an MIT-licensed service that takes any font and converts it to JavaScript, allowing you to use any font on a webpage without it having to be on the viewer’s computer. I’ve not tried it, so I don’t know if it degrades gracefully for those using no-script or similar, but it could be an excellent tool.

Laurie Penny explains why you shouldn’t vote BNP, just in case any of you are cretinous enough to wish to do so.

And Nina Stone reviews LoEG:Century . Oh, yeah… the ‘comics virgin’ can get it, but can I? Nooooooo…

ETA I’d have thought everyone would have heard the Mindless Ones’ excellent interview with Kevin O’Neill, but apparently not, so here it is…
