On the Elvis tip, definitely check out the (posthumous) compilation CD “Tomorrow Is A Long Time,” which collects some great Elvis cuts from around that ’68 period (right before the comeback special). “US Male” and “Guitar Man” are on it, along with a great version of Charlie Rich’s “Big Boss Man” and the title cut (from the Spinout soundtrack – yep, it’s Dylan, though Elvis learned the song from Odetta’s version). The set was put together to place the stray “he’s rocking again!” material Elvis made right before the comeback.

“Craise Finton Kirk” is a cover of a song from Bee Gees 1st (where it has the more psych title “Craise Finton Kirk Royal Academy Of Arts”).

It also thinks that The Move were called m.o.v.e, that France Gall and Gall, France are two seperate artists and that there’s only one group called The Charlatans.

Odessa! what a strange, strange document. i keep mine inna plastic cover because, well, the red velvet tends to attract lint. sheesh, i think i first read about it at Julian Cope’s Headheritage site (still haven’t taken the Robin Gibb solo album plunge, though !)
