Oh, I didn't - I think, for all that it's an origin story, the current thing has some set-up and is going... some way to making Hal Jordan, if not appealing then at least accessible if he simply has to be the ringbearer, much as I'd rather any other of the Earthly options...

such are my preferences; opinions which I cannot believe I actively hold, let alone air

Anyway, you/I/Zom = ahead of the curve, because the <a href="http://www.comicsreporter.com/index.php/index/cr_review_legion_of_3_worlds_1/" rel="nofollow">Spurge hath spoke</a> and he saw that FC:Lo3W was - with the usual qualifiers - good.

I'm in exactly the same boat, Andrew. It's taken me a long time to admit it, but I have come around to the idea that John's has some half decent stories kicking around his brain/the racks.

I tend to agree with Bots, however, that his Infinity Inc arc was simply some of the most appalling comics I have ever had the displeasure of reading, and that GL has been good for some time. Thinking about it, I liked the Rebirth stuff considerably more than I like his latest arc...

I agree about Robinson - I think he just lost it at some point, although Starman doesn't hold up as well as you would expect either...
I'd love to do an interview and am *very* flattered you asked. I don't normally post my contact details because I seem to have a habit of attracting the more persistent kind of troll, but I can be emailed at andrew@thenationalpep.co.uk .

I kind of agree, although I would say that the Infinity Inc. stuff in 52 was absolutely appalling, plotweaseled, headdeskingly dialogued... "Ohhh, Sobek!" otoh was apparently a Johns moment and by far his best on that series, although much of the Black Adam stuff is fairly unobjectionable post- the bit when he rips that dude in half. Sinestro Corps has some plotweaseling too, enough to inspire my ire anyway, but he kinda reshaped it in the aftermath and, in fact, despite having a lead I pretty much loathe, GL has been good, actually quite good, for almost a year now. The new Justice Society comic, too, is light years ahead of its predecessor and his Superman work... Jesus, have you seen the James Robinson Superman stuff??!! It's really, surprisingly, diabolical and Johns again - and I really never expected to write or think this - Johns current work shits on James Robinson's from a great, great height.

(btw, Andrew, you don't seem to have any contact details on yr site? I was wanting to - more privately - ask you for an interview on mindless)
