Linkblogging for 07/08/08

By Andrew Hickey

I was hoping to post a review of Final Crisis 3 tonight, but it’s simply too dense to form a coherent response in one or two read-throughs. Suffice to say, it’s becoming increasingly apparent that it’s absolutely nothing to do with the various Crisis minis of the last few years, and everything to do with Seven Soldiers, 52 and Morrison’s JLA run, which suits me down to the ground.

(BTW is anyone else having problems with wordpress.com in Firefox/Iceweasel 3 today? Had to switch to Epiphany to edit this sensibly)

Anyway, linkage:
The Alliance For Natural Health on the real story behind the recent very strange press hubub about the use of vitamin C to cure cancer – something which has been known for thirty years. Well worth reading.

Scipio, who can at times be extraordinarily perceptive for someone whose usual blogging style is to post a picture of Hal Jordan hitting his head on something, continues his in-depth look at the motivations of the characters in Dark Knight.

Fred Clark continues his series of posts on the disgusting treatment by landowners of ‘mobile home’ owners in the US.

Liberal Conspiracy call for a windfall tax on energy companies.

Antibiotics now available without prescription for minor STDs because the government apparently think we don’t have enough antibiotic-resistant bacteria around or something…

Planned posts for the weekend are – tomorrow, review of Final Crisis 3, Saturday a look at the recentish reissue of Pacific Ocean Blue by Dennis WIlson, Sunday, a review of Phantasmagoria, the second Big Finish Doctor Who audio. I bet you can’t wait.
